Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has been registered as the number one member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

The APC in Benue officially flagged off the ongoing nationwide e-registration and revalidation exercise at the governor’s hometown of Ihugh, Mbadede Ward, in Vandeikya Local Government Area.

Speaking to party faithful shortly after receiving his registration printout from the State Acting Chairman of the party, Benjamin Omale, Governor Alia urged all existing members to visit their ward headquarters to revalidate their membership, while those willing to join the party should proceed to designated registration centres to enlist.

He recalled the party’s victory in the 2023 general elections, noting that Benue people demonstrated their support for the APC through the ballot.

According to him, the electorate showed their love for both himself and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, adding that they have remained committed to the promises outlined in their policy blueprints.

Governor Alia commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Chairman of the party, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, for initiating the exercise.

He urged party members to seize the opportunity to once again demonstrate their readiness to vote for consolidation.

He further stated that his administration would give priority attention to areas with the highest number of registered members, stressing that Benue is governed by an APC administration.

Governor Alia also charged all local government council chairmen and party chairmen across the state to provide necessary support to registration agents and to mobilise residents to actively participate in the exercise.
