The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) has coffered its prestigious Honorary Fellowship Award on Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu).
The association’s 29th Annual Conference had the theme “Advancing Accounting Excellence in a Changing World.”
The occasion was held in Abuja and drew participants and distinguished personalities from across the country.
Receiving the award, Gov. Idris, who was represented at the event by his Deputy, Sen. Umar Abubakar-Tafida, expressed gratitude to ANAN for finding him suitable for the award.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering support for ANAN towards achieving its set goals and objectives of the organization.
He also pledged the unwavering commitment of the governor to upholding global best practices in transparency and accountability in managing the resources of Kebbi State.
The Honorary Fellowship was conferred in recognition of Gov. Idris’ dedication to public service, support for the association, and his commitment to transparency and accountability in his administration.
Abubakar-Tafida led a high-powered delegation including; the Head of Service, Sufyanu Garba-Bena, the State APC Chairman, Abubakar Kana-Zuru, Commissioners, Special Advisers, and the State Accountant General, Bello Ibrahim Nahaliku, among others.
