The 1997 graduates of Federal Science College Sokoto donated N1.5 million in water tanks and other accessories to ease water scarcity in the school.
The Alumni Chairman, Aminu Shata, presented the installed items to the school Principal, Bala Waziri, along with other school management on Tuesday in Sokoto.
Shata said the initiative was to give back to reciprocate to the Alma mata of their formative ages and community.
He said they could not forget their old days in college and always wanted to associate with the school community.
Responding, the Project Coordinator, Mr Abubakar Aliyu, said each of the three installed water tanks has a 3,000-liter capacity and is linked with water supply systems.
Aliyu explained that all tanks were equipped with relevant tools for water storage and flow, making them easy to maintain and safeguarding the items against vandalism.
Responding, the School Principal thanked the association members for the gesture which he said would surely enhance water supply in the school, and urged other graduated students to emulate them.
Newsmen reports that other members who witnessed the handing over included Zayyanu Hali, Abubakar Muhammad, Francis Adogamam, Sunday Oladimeji, and Muhammadu Tambari.
