Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, on Thursday approved the appointment of Abubakar Adamu as the Chairman of the Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
The Governor believes that, given his experience and proven track record, Adamu will be able to properly and diligently steer the affairs of Muslim pilgrims at all times.
While congratulating the new appointee, Alia emphasized the importance of upholding the ideals of the administration, urging him to prioritize the interests of Benue State in all his official engagements, as encapsulated in the administration’s vision and mission.
Governor Alia charges the new chairman of the board to familiarize himself with the vision and mission of the administration, as outlined in the blueprint titled “A Strategic Plan for a Greater Benue,” which will serve as a guide.
