The Director General (DG) of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has reaffirmed that 25 September 2026 remains the final deadline for the payment of the Hajj deposit and registration for the 2027 Hajj.
He emphasized that no intending pilgrim will be allocated a Hajj seat after the deadline.
According to a statement by the Board’s PRO, Sulaiman A. Dederi, the DG disclosed during a meeting with the 44 Local Government Hajj Centre Officers held at the Board’s Conference Hall,
The DG recalled that the Board had earlier announced ₦8 million as the Hajj deposit for the 2027 pilgrimage and fixed 25 September 2026 as the closing date for registration.
He urged all intending pilgrims to complete their payments and registration before the deadline to secure their Hajj seats, adding that there will be no extension of the registration period and no additional allocation of Hajj seats after the closing date.
Matawalle reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to ensuring a smooth, transparent, and well-coordinated Hajj operation. He also encouraged all prospective pilgrims to take advantage of the registration period and comply with the requirements before the deadline.
