The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Yusuf Lawan, on Saturday led members of the board’s management team on a courtesy visit to the Emir of Karaye, His Royal Highness Alhaji Muhammad Mahraz Karaye.
The visit was to warmly welcome the Emir back from the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage and express the Board’s profound appreciation for his unwavering commitment, leadership, and invaluable contributions to the successful conduct of this year’s Hajj operations.
Speaking during the visit, the Director General commended the Emir’s dedication and exemplary service as the Deputy Amirul Hajj, noting that his guidance and support played a significant role in ensuring the smooth coordination and overall success of Kano State’s Hajj exercise.
In his response, the Emir of Karaye, His Royal Highness Alhaji Muhammad Mahraz Karaye, expressed his sincere appreciation to the Director General, the Chairman, and the management of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board for the thoughtful visit and warm reception.
He thanked the Board for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at improving Hajj administration and enhancing the welfare of pilgrims from Kano State.
The visit concluded with prayers for continued peace, unity, and greater success in future Hajj operations.
