The Kano State Command, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, has decorated four hundred and sixty-three (463) officers and men with new ranks.
The event which took place at the at the state headquarters, NSCDC’s Zone N, Zonal commander, Kano, ACG Haruna Bala Zurmi in attendance.
The newly promoted officers include senior personnel from the ranks of deputy Commandant of Corps, assistant Commandant of Corps, Chief superintendent of Corps, superintendent of corps, deputy superintendent of corps, Assistant superintendent of corps down to the inspector of corps as well as the lowest cadre personnel.
In an address shortly after the decoration, the State Commandant of the Corps, Comdt Mohammed Lawal Falala, fcna, charged the newly promoted staff to belt up as they will now be assigned with new challenging responsibilities having got one level up in their service career.
Commandant Mohammed Falala also noted, that promotion comes with additional burden, and that officers and men should now see the gesture as wake up call for positive attitudinal change for optimum and better service delivery to the public.
The Zone N, Zonal commander, ACG Haruna Bala Zurmi, in his remarks, enjoined the beneficiaries to always do justice in the discharge of their duties, while also noting that to whom much is given much is expected.
The event was well attended by promotees relatives and well wishers who thronged the command solely to celebrate and rejoice with their loved ones.
