The Nigeria national football team have unveiled a fresh set of jerseys in collaboration with Nike, even as the disappointment of missing out on the 2026 FIFA World Cup lingers.
The unveiling, announced via the team’s official X platform, highlights a design approach that blends performance with contemporary style. According to Nike, the concept leans towards versatility, combining on-pitch functionality with a streetwear-inspired aesthetic.
The home kit, in particular, stands out with its bright light green base, complemented by darker green side panels and a subtle fading dot pattern across the fabric. The Nigeria Football Federation crest sits prominently alongside Nike’s logo, reinforcing the team’s identity.
By contrast, the away jersey takes a more restrained route, featuring a clean white base accented by green flame-like patterns rising from the hem.
A dark green V-neck collar and black-trimmed sleeves complete the look, giving it a distinct finish.
Beyond the visual appeal, Nike noted that both kits are produced using sustainable materials and fitted with Dri-FIT technology to enhance breathability and comfort. The jerseys will retail at £109.99 for adults and £84.99 for children.
However, the release comes at a time when the Super Eagles are still grappling with the fallout from their failure to qualify for the World Cup, following a penalty defeat to the DR Congo national football team in the CAF playoff round.
The Nigeria Football Federation had initially challenged the outcome, citing alleged irregularities, but FIFA has since upheld Congo DR’s place, effectively ending Nigeria’s hopes of participation.
