The Emir of Rano, Dr. Muhammad Isah Umaru Autan Bawo, on Friday expressed satisfaction with ongoing projects executed by the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in Rano Local Government Area and across Kano State.
The Emir made this known while addressing the people of the Rano Emirate shortly after the Eid-el-fitr prayers led by the Chief Imam of Rano local government area, Imam Malam Mansur, held at Rano Eid ground.
The zonal Information officer in charge of the Rano, Abdullahi Musa Gyadi Gyadi, in a statement, said the monarch called on the entire Rano populace to continue practicing the lessons learned from religious teachings during the holy month of Ramadan.
He also commended wealthy individuals for supporting the less privileged during the Ramadan fasting period, citing Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano as an example, and urged parents to intensify efforts in properly upbringing of their children.
The Emir enjoined District heads, village and ward heads, Imams and other community leaders to continue cooperate with state and local governments officials towards enhancing security by reporting any suspicious movement in their domains to the near authorities for necessary action.
The state government representative and APC Chairman, Umar Haruna Doguwa, revealed that the state government under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf was executing various developmental projects across the state, citing examples of road and Taluwaiwai water treatment, and constructions in the Rano local government area.
Doguwa also called on the public to continue supporting and cooperating with the Kano State government towards the development of Rano and Kano State at large.
On her part, the kano state Commissioner for Tourism, Hajiya A’isha Lawan Saji Rano, expressed satisfaction with the role of the emirate in promoting development in the area.
She also called for continue unity among the area APC members for the progress of the area.
The Rano local government council chairman, Malam Muhammad Naziru Ya’u Rano, represented by the local government secretary, Isma’ila Yusuf, reaffirmed that the council would continue to work with the Rano emirate to achieve sustainable development in the area and Kano state at large.
