Kano State Government has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic fire outbreak at Singer Market, which destroyed goods worth millions of naira and claimed lives.

In a statement issued on Sunday by the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, the government, under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, extended its heartfelt condolences to the victims of the disaster.

The statement described the incident as a painful tragedy that consumed vast properties belonging to members of the public and resulted in loss of lives.

It assured affected traders and families that the government shares in their grief during this difficult time.

The government prayed that Almighty Allah would compensate the victims with something better and protect the state from similar occurrences in the future.

It also called on residents of Kano State to intensify prayers and seek divine intervention to safeguard the state from disasters.

The government further prayed for sustained economic growth and lasting peace in Kano State.
