Thousands of youths from across Nigeria’s North-West converged in Jigawa State to showcase the two-year achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing his performance as proof of his suitability for re-election in 2027.

The event, held on Monday, November 10, 2025, also featured the launch of an empowerment grant initiative for traders at the Dutse Central Market.

Welcoming dignitaries from Abuja, including the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Hon. Muhammad Idris; Minister of Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande; Minister of State for Education, Mrs. Suwaiba Said; and Seyi Tinubu, Governor Umar Namadi commended the organizers, describing the occasion as timely and significant.

Governor Namadi said President Tinubu has demonstrated unwavering commitment to improving the lives of young Nigerians, whom he described as “the engine room for national growth and development.”

“All North-West governors are following the President’s policies on youth development. I am optimistic that by 2027, Nigerian youths will stand firmly with President Tinubu as he stands for them and for Nigeria’s peace and progress,” the governor stated.

Speaking at the “Youth Pally” session held at the Government House Banquet Hall in Dutse, the Minister of Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande, said President Tinubu’s dedication to youth empowerment is evident in his administration’s policies and investments.

He noted that these investments have already begun yielding positive results and urged Nigerian youths to continue supporting the President’s vision of creating a nation of opportunity and prosperity.

In his remarks, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Hon. Muhammad Idris, said President Tinubu’s leadership has reignited hope in Nigeria’s economic recovery, citing notable progress in economic stability and youth-centered programs.

He revealed that under the Students Loan Scheme, more than 620,000 students have benefited from a disbursement of over N116 billion, while over one million youths have been shortlisted for the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program, with 250,000 already deployed for the first phase of training.

The Jigawa State Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture also presented Governor Umar Namadi’s two-year performance report, highlighting numerous achievements that have improved youth welfare and placed the state on a path of inclusive growth and development.
