The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has urged students across the country to uphold integrity as a guiding principle for success and effective leadership in the future.

Olukoyede gave the charge on Thursday, November 6, 2025, during a sensitization lecture for students of Mami Bright Islamic Academy, Kaduna State.

Represented by Chief Superintendent of the EFCC (CSE) Nana Fatima Abubakar of the Public Affairs Department, Kaduna Zonal Directorate, Olukoyede commended the school for inviting the Commission to educate students on its activities and on how they can contribute to the fight against corruption and financial crimes.

“As future leaders, imbibe the culture of honesty, hard work, perseverance, and integrity wherever you may find yourselves. These are essential virtues,” he stated.

He cautioned the students against examination malpractice, theft, laziness, lateness, and negative peer or societal influence, stressing that such vices could derail their progress and self-actualization.

Olukoyede also encouraged the students to harness the vast opportunities the internet offers for learning, innovation, and personal growth, rather than use it for fraudulent activities that could destroy their future.

Highlighting the damaging effects of corruption and financial crimes on individuals and society, he urged the students to actively support the anti-corruption campaign by reporting suspicious activities through the EFCC’s Eagle Eye App.

In her remarks, the school’s Principal, Hajiya Hadiza Abdulsalam, thanked the EFCC for honouring the invitation and for delivering an enlightening lecture.

“We are now better informed about the EFCC’s work. The Commission is doing a lot, and we are truly grateful. Our school is ready to support the fight against corruption to secure a better future,” she said.

During an interactive session, the students pledged to spread the EFCC’s message of integrity, honesty, and hard work among their peers, families, and communities.
