Kano: Waiya Foundation Offers Educational Support to 250 Students, Pupils of Dala LGA

Waiya Foundation, an educational support organization founded by Kano State Commisioner of Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya has offered educational supposed to 250 underprivileged students and pupils in Dala Local Government Area.

Speaking at event held today at Dala Primary School, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya said the initiative was aimed to bridge the educational gap and promote academic excellence for students and pupils in various schools within the local government area.

He maitained that the educational support was also to augument efforts of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in transforming the education and offering equal opportunity to children in the state to acquire education for prosperous future.

“We believe that every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of their background or financial situation. At Waiya Foundation, we are committed to empowering underprivileged students and pupils and promoting academic excellence.” Said Comrade Waiya

He added: “We are happy to have reached 250 students and pupils in the support at the moment, and we look forward to expanding our reach in the nooks and crannies of the local government for more beneficiaries.”

Commissioner Waiya expressed optimism that despite its lightness, the support would have significant impact on beneficiaries, improving their academic performance and boosting their confidence.

Earliar in a remark, the Foundation’s Vice Chairman, Malam Sadiqu Usman, said it was established to assist less privileged students and pupils of Dala local government indigene to actualize their dream of educational pursuit.

The support include cash donations for three students of tertiary institutions each of the twelve wards with twenty-five thousand naira each, and 214 pupils across the wards who were enrolled in Primary Schools including out-of-school children, provided with uniforms, and educational materials.

Some of the beneficiaries interviewed, appreciated the Commissioner for the kind gesture, and pledged make judicious utelization of the support to achieve the set goals.
