I’m Glad I Didn’t Win Season 8 Of Big Brother Africa – Beverly Osu

The Nigerian actress Beverly Osu has admitted that she is relieved that she was not chosen as the winner of the 2013 Big Brother Africa housemate competition.

In a recent interview with HIPTV, Osu talked candidly about her early years and professional journey, particularly her time on Big Brother Africa, which thrust her into the spotlight.

The presenter inquired, “You were never up for evictions in the reality TV show; did you think that your eviction was evil?”

In reaction, Osu said she was relieved that she had not won the competition at the time and that she now saw her defeat as a blessing in disguise. In a lighthearted manner, she added that her mother was afraid of the cash prize leading her astray.

“I’m glad I didn’t win now because there was nothing I could have done to win back then,” she remarked. While my supporters prayed for me to win, my mother prayed to God, asking Him to guide her if her child were to win and then turn bad, as she had already been led wrong in the past. God, please don’t give her this money if she is going to win it and end up lost.”

The actress acknowledged that she might not have had the wisdom to handle the prize money well at the time, but she nonetheless spoke about how her life and profession have improved since then.

“The best timing comes from God, and we are grateful that we have now made more than that money. If I had the money then, I probably would not have known what to do with it. I didn’t have the experience to make it impactful in my life, so yeah, so far, I’m winning in life now,” she explained.
