Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has approved the release of N1.14 billion for the payment of gratuity and death benefits to 445 contract staff in the state.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Director in the Office of the Head of Service, Rashidu Muhammad-Bala, who noted that the approved amount of N1,144,428,745.74 is meant to cover entitlements for the affected personnel.
According to the statement, the gesture reflects Governor Idris’s commitment to workers’ welfare and ongoing efforts to reposition the state’s civil service through transparent and responsive governance.
Muhammad-Bala further assured non-indigenous staff that the current administration, under the leadership of Kauran Gwandu, is inclusive and does not discriminate based on ethnicity or religion.
