Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the appointment of Kabiru Dakata as the Director General of the Kano State Advert and Signage Agency (KASA).
Dakata was appointed alongside six other appointments aimed at strengthening key institutions and improving service delivery across the state.
A statement issued on Friday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, named other appointees and their respective positions are as follows: Dr. Bashir A. Muzakkar – Director General, Kano State Information & Communication Technologies Development Agency (KASITDA).
Before this appointment, Dr. Bashir Abdu Muzakkari was the Special Adviser to the Governor on Digital and Creative Economy.
Dr. Fatima Abdul Abubakar (Amneef) – Director General, Kano State Social Protection Agency (KASPA). Before her appointment, Fatima was the Special Adviser to the Governor on Enlightenment and Social Mobilization, Engr. Isyaku Umar Kwa – Deputy Managing Director, Kano State Housing Corporation
Others are Hamisu Musa Gambo Danzaki, Executive Secretary, Kano State Scholarship Board, Barrister Isma’il Nasarawa – Provost, Anti-Corruption Institute, and Captain Mohammed Bello Maigaskiya Gabasawa (Rtd.), Commandant, Corporate Security Institute.
Governor Yusuf expressed confidence that the newly appointed officials will bring their wealth of experience and commitment to bear in driving the vision and policies of the state to greater heights.
