Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has made key appointments in education and rural development to strengthen his administration and improve service delivery across critical sectors.
In a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the Governor approved the appointment of Malam Adamu Yusuf Tofa as Senior Special Assistant on Tsangaya Education.
Malam Tofa is a former Vice Chairman of Tofa Local Government Area and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Islamic Studies.
He is widely respected for his commitment to Islamic education, particularly in the Tsangaya system that caters to Almajiri pupils.
Also appointed is Hon. Surajo Ahmad Chedi as Senior Special Assistant on Rural and Community Development.
A three-term Supervisory Councillor, Hon. Chedi is a seasoned grassroots politician and community development expert.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration and has decades of experience working with local communities.
The Governor’s latest appointments are seen as part of his broader agenda to promote inclusive governance and ensure that key segments of the society, especially the rural and underserved, benefit from government programs and interventions.
