Nigerian music star Davido has chimed in on the ongoing rap feud between Blaqbonez and OdumoduBlvck, offering a lighthearted suggestion to settle their differences.

In a viral video from the ongoing Paris Fashion Week, Davido was seen jokingly telling Blaqbonez that he has to fight OdumoduBlvck, a remark that quickly caught fans’ attention. While his comment was clearly made in jest, it reflects the growing anticipation among hip-hop enthusiasts for a possible lyrical showdown between the two rappers.

The beef between Blaqbonez and OdumoduBlvck has been heating up, especially following the release of the track Who’s Really Rapping by Blaqbonez and veteran rapper A-Q.

The song critiques the current state of Nigerian hip-hop and questions who truly deserves the crown—implicitly targeting OdumoduBlvck, widely regarded as the genre’s leading figure today.

OdumoduBlvck responded swiftly, taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to assert his dominance and criticize both Blaqbonez and A-Q through a mix of direct insults and sarcastic jabs.

He accused them of jealousy, betrayal, and hypocrisy, though the root of their conflict remains unclear.

In a recent podcast interview, OdumoduBlvck dismissed Blaqbonez’s claim of being the best rapper in Africa, calling it laughable.

The tension escalated further following shots aimed at Blaqbonez on OdumoduBlvck’s latest album The Machine Is Coming, where he hinted at an all-out lyrical war.

With both artists trading barbs and fans eagerly watching, the rap rivalry has added new energy to Nigeria’s hip-hop scene. Whether it ends in a lyrical battle or a peaceful resolution—as Davido humorously proposed—remains to be seen.
