As the joyous occasion of Eid al-Adha approaches, Kano Youth Promotion Council (KYPC) has called on youth across the state to conduct their Sallah festivities peacefully, responsibly, and with a deep sense of unity and brotherhood.
A statement by the group President Comrade Idris Ibrahim Unguwar Gini said, in light of recent events and growing political tension in some quarters, KYPC is strongly urging youth not to allow themselves to be used by selfish politicians or individuals with hidden agendas to ignite conflict, chaos, or disharmony in Kano.
“Kano is a land of peace, culture, and dignity. The youth, as the backbone of the society, must continue to uphold these values by avoiding provocative acts, refraining from political thuggery, and resisting any attempt to cause violence or unrest during this festive period.”
Unguwar Gini also appealed to religious and community leaders, parents, and all stakeholders to join hands in guiding the youth towards peaceful coexistence and respect for the rule of law.
“Let this Sallah be a time of reflection, unity, and gratitude, not division. Let us work together to preserve the peace and stability of Kano for the benefit of all”.
In the state, the KYPC congratulated Muslims community on the occasion of the Eid -El Adha celebration.
Eid Mubarak!
