Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has extended the deadline for payment of the 2025 Hajj fare to the 7th March.
A statement signed by the Director General of the Board, Ahamed Umar Labbo, and made available to newsmen through the Public Relation Officer, Comrade Habibu Yusuf Babura, noted that, the extension was aimed at giving more opportunities for the intending pilgrims to pay their Hajj fares.
The board had earlier fixed 30th January as the deadline and extended it to February 15 before the new extension.
However, the statement noted that the extension would not affect the Board’s preparation for the exercise in Nigeria and the Holy Land.
“The board has already remitted over N6 billion to the National Hajj Commission for 1780 seats allocated to the state.”
The Director General commended the Jigawa State Governor, Mallam Umar Namadi, for his unwavering support and commitment to the welfare of the state’s pilgrims.
