News Desk

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 59 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud during a targeted operation in the Mararaba area of Nasarawa State.

The EFCC’s Abuja Zonal Directorate carried out the raid on Monday following credible intelligence linking the suspects to fraudulent online activities.

During the operation along Abacha Road, operatives confiscated 73 mobile phones of various brands believed to have been used in the alleged scams.

The commission confirmed that the suspects will be charged to court once investigations are finalized.

The EFCC said it will continue to intensify its clampdown on cybercrime across the country, urging the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.
