An international partner, PROPCOM, implementing an intervention in the climate-smart rural agricultural program in Nigeria funded by the Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has extended its heartfelt condolences to Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadi over the death of his mother, Maryam Namadi, and his elder Son Abdulwahab Umar Namadi.
A condolence letter addressed to the Governor by the country representative, Dr. Adiya Ode, was made available to Newsmen in Dutse stating that “It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we, the management and staff of Propcom+, extend our deepest condolences to you and your family following the devastating loss of your beloved mother, Maryam Namadi Umar, and your cherished first-born son, Abdulwahab Umar Namadi.
“We are deeply saddened by this unimaginable tragedy, particularly given the brevity of time between these two profound losses.
“The passing of Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar, a woman whose values and a remarkable legacy undoubtedly shaped your esteemed leadership, and the untimely demise of Abdulwahab Umar Namadi, a young life full of promise, leaves a void that cannot be filled.”
During this time of mourning, we join the people of Jigawa State in expressing our grief and solidarity. We pray that Almighty Allah grants the deceased eternal rest in Al Jannatul Firdausi and provides you, your family, and the people of Jigawa State with the strength and fortitude to bear this immense loss.
“Your Excellency, we recognize the extraordinary challenges you face as a leader in these trying times, and we pray for your continued strength and wisdom. Please know that the thoughts and prayers of the entire Propcom+ team are with you and the people of Jigawa State during this period of grief.
May Allah’s mercy and comfort envelop you and your loved ones, and may the memories of Hajiya Maryam and Abdulwahab bring you solace and inspire hope for the future.
In a similar letter, the Dutse Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) extend its heartfelt condolences to the governor over the double tragedies
According to the letter signed by the branch chairman Mustapha Mohammed Kashim, Esq: ACArb stated that” the branch and its entire members share in the grief with you at this most trying and difficult moment.”
” We, however, urge your Excellency, the immediate family and the people of Jigawa State to be consoled by the fact that the late Hajiya Maimuna who was a great servant of Allah lived a worthy and fulfilled life, just as your son’s demise is a testament of Allah’s decree that every soul shall taste death and the fact that the death of a son is a certainly a greater part of the trials of this world which, when endured, will lift the status of a being to a greater height in Jannah.
“It is, therefore, our firm belief that, knowing your Excellency’s personality as a pious and excellent servant of Allah who always surrenders his affairs to the will of his creator, this tribulation too shall not be an exception”.
“We pray to almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive their souls and grant both of them the highest grade of Jannah – Jannatul Firdausi and give you, the immediate family, and the entire people of Jigawa State the fortitude to bear these colossal losses,.
