Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been ranked the fourth-best goalkeeper in the world at the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris.
England and Chelsea’s Hannah Hampton made history on Monday night by winning the first-ever Women’s Yashin Trophy, following her standout performances in England’s Euro 2025 triumph and Chelsea’s domestic treble.
The final ranking placed Germany’s Ann-Katrin Berger second and Spain’s Cata Coll third, with Nnadozie securing a place in the top five. The Paris FC shot-stopper has continued to earn global recognition since her heroics at the 2023 Women’s World Cup, where she was named Player of the Match in Nigeria’s shock win over hosts Australia.
For Hampton, the award capped an exceptional year in which she kept 13 clean sheets in the Women’s Super League, shared the Golden Glove, and helped Chelsea secure a treble before starring in England’s European Championship victory.
