2024 NYG: Kano Fives Team Picks 2 Gold Medals in Singles, Doubles

It was a dream start for the Kano State team at the ongoing National Youth Games, as they picked up two gold medals on Sunday.

Kano team athlete Abubakar Isah Sadauki picked the first gold medal in the fives male single final by beating Lagos athletes 14-0 at the squash court Government House Asaba, Delta State.

Also in fives doubles, the two talented athletes Abubakar Isha Sadauki and Abdulrahman Abubakar beat Bayelsa 41-0 in the final at the same venue.

By this achievement, the Kano team has become the first team to win two gold medals at Fives this year.

As of the time of this report, Kano has 3 medals; 2 gold medals in fives, and 1 bronze medal in swimming 100 meters backstroke.
