Zauren Tuntuba Initiative Commends Sen. Barau Jibril

It had been identified that good governance in a democratic environment can only be achieved through effective representation of the members of the society.

The identification was made by the Chairman of Dambatta/Makoda Zauren Tuntuba Initiative Alhaji Balarabe Shehu while leading members of the Zauren Tuntuba for on sight visitation to Thomas Dam in Makoda Local Government under rehabilitation by the Senator Representing Kano North Senatorial District Senator Barau Jibrin.

Alhaji Balarabe Shehu said the project when completed would boost dry season farming in the area and add succour to the people of the two communities, stressing that the intervention had come at a right time when both the state and federal government placed high premium in agricultural production thereby making the nation to be self sufficient in agriculture and at the same time diversify the economy from oil to non oil sector.

The Chairman of Zauren Tuntuba Initiative further revealed that the people of Dambatta and Makoda are fully aware of the Senator Barau Jibril intervention especially on empowerment, Recruitment and many more.

Commenting on the ongoing street light project by the Senator, Alhaji Balarabe Shehu said the street light would help a lot in ensuring security of the areas and as well would boost the economic potentialities of the people.

He commended the Senator Barau for what he described as effective representation in the upper chamber, pointing out that the people of Dambatta and Makoda are solidly behind him.

Alh Balarabe revealed that the initiative is non political and non-profit organization which is aims at improving the lives of the people in the said communities.
