US Denied Involvement In Lebanon Pager Explosions

Stephen Enoch

After multiple pager explosions occurred around Lebanon, leaving numerous people dead and numerous others injured, the United States has maintained that it was not involved in the incident. According to a Pentagon officer, the situation is being watched, and tensions in the area are already high.

Pagers belonging to numerous Hezbollah militants burst on Tuesday; shortly after, casualties started to arrive at hospitals, and blood banks opened to assist medical institutions and the injured. Pagers are essential to Hezbollah’s communication because cell phone hacking is a problem.

The Lebanese extremist organization with Iranian support has accused Israel of causing the event. Meanwhile, Israeli officials have declined to comment at this time.

The incident has been deemed’very alarming’ by the UN. This occurs when Hezbollah and the Israeli army have been trading near daily fire across the Israel-Lebanon border following the October 7th Hamas attack. The hostilities have prompted fears of an all-out regional war and have forced tens of thousands of people from their homes on both sides of the border.
