The Spokesman for UN Secretary-General António Guterres on Thursday issued a statement condemning the 3 February terrorist attack in Kwara State, Nigeria, which reportedly claimed the lives of more than 100 people.
The Secretary-General expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the Government and people of Nigeria, and wished those injured a swift recovery.
He reaffirmed the United Nations’ solidarity with Nigeria in its efforts to combat terrorism and violent extremism, and подчеркed the need to ensure that those responsible for the attack are brought to justice.
