Middle East and South Asian countries have put forward new initiatives regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Reuters reports.
According to the information, the proposals submitted to Washington on Sunday envisage the introduction of a paid transit system in the Strait of Hormuz similar to the Suez Canal.
It was also reported that Türkiye, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia are considering the possibility of establishing a consortium to manage the transportation of oil products.
The issue has also been discussed with representatives of the United States and Iran.
