Jamilu Uba Adamu

The Kano Football family woke up on Saturday morning with the dreadful news of the demise of Kano Pillars FC player David Ebuka.

I first come in contact with the deceased in the 2019 NPFL season when I visited their Hotel (I can’t recall the hotel’s name but it was located at Ngwa road in the East ) where they lodged during their match with Enyimba Int’l Fc of Aba, Abia State.

One of the players introduced him to me and instantly we started discussing issues concerning football. In the course of my interaction with him, I observe that he was a very humble, friendly, and down-to-earth person, at the end we exchanged phone numbers.

David will be remembered as part of the history-making squad that help Sai Masu Gidaaa clinch the Aiteo cup ( Formerly Challenge Cup ) for the second time ( the first one was in 1953 ) in  2019.

May his soul rest in peace, my condolence to his family and Kano Pillars FC management, and entire Kano Pillars FC fans.
