President Bola Ahmed Tinubu last night returned to Abuja after a week of diplomatic outings in France and South Africa.
He arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 9:10 pm and was received by senior officials of the administration.
Among those who received him at the airport were the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Wike.
President Tinubu departed the country for Paris, France, on November 27, to honour President Emmanuel Macron’s invitation to a three-day state visit.
The President, along with his wife, First Lady Oluremi, was welcomed to the Élysée Palace on Thursday, by President Macron and his wife, Brigitte.
Tinubu and Macron addressed a joint news conference, during which he spoke about the successes Nigeria has been gaining in the fight against insecurity.
While in France, he also witnessed the signing of a series of agreements, including strategic, and memoranda of understanding between Nigeria and France, as well as participated in a Nigeria-France Business Council.
Tinubu departed France on Sunday night for South Africa, where he co-chaired the 11th session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC) in Cape Town, alongside President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa.
