President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid glowing tribute to his wife, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, as she marked her 65th birthday on Sunday.
In a heartfelt message, the President described the First Lady as “the love of my life” and praised her for her quiet strength, patience, and devotion through the years.
Reflecting on their journey together, Tinubu noted that Oluremi had stood firmly by his side “from the long years of struggle and political exile to leadership responsibilities,” providing steadfast support with “dignity, patience, and devotion that words can scarcely express.”
The President lauded her role not only as his wife but also as a confidant, counsellor, and a role model for their children, grandchildren, and the nation. “In you, our nation sees the true strength of womanhood; resolute yet tender, humble yet unshakably firm,” he said.
He further acknowledged her sacrifices, saying Nigeria owed her gratitude for the burdens she carried quietly in support of his political career and public service. “You have served this country as surely as I have, not from the podium, but from the heart of our home,” Tinubu stated.
As President, he saluted her contributions as First Lady, whose “warmth and empathy continue to touch millions of lives across the country.”
“Happy 65th birthday, Oluremi. May the years ahead be filled with joy, peace, and the fulfilment you so richly deserve,” Tinubu concluded.
