Stakeholders Harp on Digital Tools for SMEs

Stakeholders in the media industry have called on governments at federal and state levels to leverage on digital tools for growth strategies for SMEs to thrive in Nigeria.

Founder of Jewel Magazine, Abdulhakeem Idris, said the there is a need to bring entrepreneurs and farmers together to create ease and innovation for all Nigerians leading to less poverty and better lives in the state as seen in the past

Idris, stated this an award organised by the Jewel Lifestyle Magazine in Gombe state recently.

Saying the awards underscored the diversity of talent and excellence present within the community, an important section of the Spotlight Awards was the launching of Jewel magazine 2023. It was graced by Haruna Garuba of G99 as its front page, celebrating greatness and strength.

The city’s most anticipated award night unfolded in a dazzling display of glamour, offering a multifaceted experience that blended celebration with intellectual richness.

The event organised by Jewel Lifestyle Magazine held Matix International Academy, Gombe state, commenced with a red carpet that captured the beauty of elegance of guests for a night of memorable moments.

The event was in attendance with the dignitaries in the state Alhaji Umaru Abubakar (Madakin Gombe), Alh. Ahmed Gara Gombe, Alh. Umar Manta, Alh. Inuwa Tata, Mr. Usman Umar Zambuk, Engr. Mustapha IU, Hon. Faruq Yarma, and many others.

Also speaking, the Editor-In-Chief of Jewel Lifestyle Magazine, Abbas Sukola, called on the media industry to engage in insightful discussions on Leveraging Digital Tools for Growth: Strategies for SMEs to thrive in Nigeria business to transform the life of the citizen.

He said Gombe State has the highest numbers of certified growing tech owners businesses in Nigeria and the goal is to have over 1000 tech businesses in Gombe state in the nearest future. Research and target marketing is an essential part business owners need to focus on.

Meanwhile, the Ambassador Women Techmakers, Hadiya Usman, said in the digital era, feedback from customers to businesses, especially SMES, is very important as it helps business owners make informed decisions and technology has made it easier and faster. So business owners should maximize its usage.”

She charges the youths to change their mindset- and focus on reading books, working hard and being self development is key and paramount to our growth as a people. It is important to combine digital strategies with our businesses to get maximum results. CEO Pivea Group, Mustapha IU added during the session.
