Sokoto Zakkat Commission Receives House Donation

Sokoto State Zakat and Endowment Çommission (SOZECOM) has received a house donated as Waqaf by Aishatu Muhd Modi Yabo.

Speaking shortly after receiving the key to the house, the Executive Chairman of SOZECOM, Engr  Lawal Muhammad Maidoki (Sadaukin Sokoto), said: “We had received the house donated by Aishatu Muhd Modi Yabo as Waqaf according to the Islamic instructions.”

He used the opportunity to call on  Muslims to emulate this kind gesture by spending their wealth on propagating the course of Islam. 

According to him, such a gesture is highly recommended by Allah, adding that whoever engages in the act he would be rewarded by Allah thereby having a prosperous life here and in the hereafter.

Maidoki then thanked Hajiya Aishatu for the Work done and prayed to Almighty Allah to reward her abundantly. After completing the signing of the agreement note from both sides, later the executive chairman was conducted around various sections of the house by the donor.

In her address, the donor Aishatu Muhd Modi Yabo said she decided to donate the house for the sake of Allah alone. She however commended Sozecom management under the leadership of Malam Lawal Maidoki for being committed to stearing the affairs of the commission. she prayed to Allah to continue to guide him in his leadership and give him more support to perfectly discharge his duties.

She added that the activities running by the commission under Maidoki’s administration got recommendations both within and outside the state which according to her is worthy of commendation.

The house donated by Aishatu Muhd Modi Yabo as Waqf is located in the Rijiyar Dorowa area within the Sokoto metropolis.

At the event, Sadaukin Sokoto accompanied by his Director Wakaf, Jabbi Illala Dabore, Director of Administration of the Commission, Mahe Alkali, Deputy Director Wakaf Malam Aliyu, and Head of Waqf Investment Malam Aminu Bello among others.
