Sokoto state People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Treasurer Alhaji Abdulkadir Daniya has resigned from his membership in the party.
Dan Iya in a letter dated 13th January 2023 to the PDP Magajin Gari B Ward Chairman Sokoto’s north local government, said he resigned his membership of the party due to a lack of internal democracy and irreconcilable differences.
The former PDP Treasurer further disclosed that Sokoto state PDP has a lot of irreconcilable differences between its members; especially in the way and manner the party conducts its activities towards the people of the state.
The letter, however, put a stop to speculations that the former treasurer had not been seen participating in the ongoing PDP campaign across the state.
Dan Iya was a strong pillar of the PDP in Sokoto state and an ally of the former Chairman of Sokoto state Pilgrims Welfare Agency (PWA) Jarman Sokoto Dr. Ummarun Kwabo AA who is also a strongman of the Party in the state.
