The peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sokoto State Chapter has released time table and guidelines for the conduct of the forthcoming March 27th local Government elections.
The StateCchairman, Alhaji Bello Aliyu Goronyo said the time table and guidelines released by the party was to conform with the earlier one released by the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) for the scheduled March 27th Sokoto state local Government Elections.
According to the timetable made available to journalists in Sokoto, the party closed the purchased and submission of forms on the 7th of February 2021.
The screening of aspirants by the party officials would be conducted on the 8th of February at the zonal offices across the state.
The timetable further stated that all appeals arising from the conduct of the screening of candidates would be received by the party on the 9th of February.
The timetable further explained that, list of screened candidates by the party would be displayed at the party zonal offices, local government headquarters and state headquarters on the 19th of February 2021.
The party primary election would be held on the 11th of February for councillorship and 13th February for Chairmanship primaries, as contained in the timetable.
The appeals arising from the conduct of the party primaries would be received by very party on the 14th February as listed in the timetable.
The party would submit names of candidates standing for election to State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) on the 20th to 28th of February 2021.
The party would submit names of party Agents at all levels to SIEC on the 20th to 25th of March while elections campaign would be closed on the 26th of March ahead of scheduled 27th March elections.
