The Sokoto State Judicial Commission of Inquiry has directed the State Commissioner of Police to produce Abubakar Chika Dantama the Sole Administrator of the Silame Local Government Area (LGA) on Saturday the 27th of April 2024 for his failure to appear before it.

Chairman of the commission and former Chief Judge of Gombe State, Justice Mu’azu Abdulkadir Pindiga gave the directives while presiding over the çommission seating Monday at Usman Faruk Secretariat Sokoto.

He said the commission was left with no option than to issue the directives to the state çommissioner of to produce him for their failure to appear at the commission after a summon to that effect was served on him.

Hon. Dantama has served as the sole administrator of the Silame LGA during the administration of former Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

According to the council to the çommission Barrister Amanzi Amanzi, the çommission has initially served the former sole administrator Dantama with a summon to appear as a witness but failed to honour the invitation.

He said by the powers bestowed on the çommission establishment of section 8 sub-section II, the commission had to issue arrest directives to the state çommissioner of police to bring him before the commission on Saturday.
