Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko (Sarkin Yamman Sokoto) has donated a Transformer to the Mabera Community In the Sokoto South local government area of Sokoto metropolis as part of efforts to provide succor and better the lives of the people of his constituency in Sokoto North Senatorial District.
The benefiting Communities of the valuable gesture are residents of Sheikh Musa Ayuba Lukuwa Jumu’at Mosque and part of Gidan Dahala in the state metropolis.
The senator was represented at the presentation of the Transformer by Alhaji Ahmed Baba Altine who explained that it was one of the numerous efforts of Senator Wamakko as part of his responsibility to better the lives of his constituents.
He said the gesture was also part of the sustained efforts by the Senator to ensure his constituents enjoyed the dividends of democracy as well as improve their living conditions.
The donation of the 300 Kva transformer followed a request placed before the senator by the community through their representative.
The senator in his usual magnanimity directed that a 300kva Transformer be issued to the community to ease their hardship, says Altine.
According to him the residents of the area were faced with acute shortage of electricity supply for some time.
“You should ensure the good utilization of the facility and safeguard it for optimal usage.”
Some of the beneficiaries of the facility, Sani Marshall and Zayyanu Yahaya described the gesture by the Senator as timely, decrying that they had stayed in darkness for so long due to the lack of electricity.
“It is one out of the flurry efforts by the APC Senator towards ensuring the provision of the direly needed social amenities to improve the lives of people in the State even after he left office as Governor.”
They vowed to use the facility provided to them by Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko for the benefit of the Mabera Lukuwa jumu’at Mosque and the entire community.
“The recent transformer donated was among the many doled out to various communities in Sokoto State by Sen. Wamakko,” stated the representative of the senator.
