Salem Varsity Lokoja Celebrates Chancellor, Archbishop Amaga @ 70

Salem University, Lokoja on Wednesday, felicitated Archbishop Sam Amaga, the university’s Chancellor on the occasion of his 70th Birthday.

Prof. Alewo Johnson-Akubo, the Vice Chancellor (VC), in a  congratulatory message made available to newsmen in Lokoja, describes Bishop Amaga as a pacesetter whose educational legacies make the desired impact on higher education in Kogi state and Nigeria at large.

The VC said, “On behalf of my family, management, staff, and students of Salem University Lokoja, wish our Chancellor and spiritual Father, Archbishop Sam Amaga very sound health, peace, and joy as he celebrates his 70th birthday, Wednesday, March 15.”

He appreciated God for giving Nigeria and particularly Kogi State such an illustrious and industrious son and father in the person of Archbishop Sam Amaga.

Johnson-Akubo described Archbishop Amaga, who is the Visionary Founder and Chancellor of Salem University Lokoja, as an “astute leader” and “Godsend” to this present generation.

“Today, March 15, 2023, we in Salem University Lokoja, join Foundation Faith Church and other well-wishers around the World to congratulate our visionary and founding Chancellor, Archbishop Sam Amaga on his 70th Birthday.

“As a committed and faithful servant of God, Archbishop has demonstrated his love and care for the young ones by establishing Salem University Lokoja for the harvest, grooming, and development of change agents that could impact the world.

“This singular feat has indeed made our Chancellor a patriot and mentor, who has made significant contributions to the spiritual and educational growth and development of Nigeria,” he said.

The VC added, “As our Chancellor and spiritual Father, you have made a significant impact on the lives of many, particularly members of Foundation Faith Church and students of Salem University Lokoja that will continue to linger for an eternity.”

Johnson-Akubo said that nothing could be far from the truth that the chancellor has done well in serving humanity and has left legacies that many generations would continue to remember and emulate.

The VC further said, “It is with great delight that the management, staff, and students of this citadel of learning, join the Church and well-wishers across the country in congratulating you on the occasion of your 70th anniversary.”
