Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said four people have died so far in overnight strikes by Russia, with Kyiv the primary target, and dozens more were wounded, including children and a pregnant woman.
Zelensky called it a “wicked attack” that comprised around 430 drones and 18 missiles.
“This was a deliberately calculated attack aimed at causing maximum harm to people and civilian infrastructure.
“In Kyiv alone, dozens of apartment buildings have been damaged,” Zelensky said.
The Azerbaijani Embassy was hit by debris from an Iskander missile.” As well as the main target of Kyiv, Zelensky said Kharkiv and Odesa were also hit.
The Russia-Ukraine war is thundering on towards another winter with no clear end in sight, despite the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump to broker a peace, most recently tough new sanctions on Russia’s two top oil producers to pile pressure on Moscow to end its ongoing invasion.
