Silvex International Limited, a flourishing agribusiness and logistics company has revealed that it has expanded its operations as all requirements needed have been completed and the agreement signed with the Kogi state government adding that the agreement entails the leasing and management of the N4b Ejiba rice mill factory with a capacity of over 50 metric tones per day as a measure to sustain and encourage agricultural productivity and stimulate economic growth in the state.
Disclosing this to newsmen in Kano, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Silvex, Alhaji Abubakar Karfi, said Silvex International Limited which is wholly indigenous has been expanding its operations rapidly in recent years adding that the company focuses on commodity aggregation, processing, and trading has planned to invest billions of naira in the agricultural sector in Kogi State.
He explained that with this new lease agreement, the agribusiness company is poised to inject fresh vitality into the Ejiba Rice Mill Factory. By leveraging advanced technologies, streamlined processes, and sustainable agricultural practices, the company intends to revitalize production operations and optimize output levels.
According to him, the agreement reached was facilitated by the state Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Mrs. Ayoade Folashade Arike, who executed the agreement on behalf of the Kogi state government.
The Ejiba Rice Mill Factory has been one of the giant projects of the immediate past administration of Yahaya Bello situated in Yagba West local government area of Kogi state. The project has long been recognized as a cornerstone of the state’s agricultural sector. However, in recent years, operational challenges have hindered its full capacity utilization, prompting the need for intervention and modernization.
