Member representing Langtang North-North in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Abel Nansak Nimshak has reiterated his dedication to enhancing the educational system in his constituency.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 2024 free summer lessons, an initiative he sponsored Hon. Nimshak emphasized the pivotal role education plays in societal transformation.
Nimshak highlighted the urgent need to address the declining state of education, citing infrastructure decay and dwindling student motivation. He commended students for their dedication and announced scholarships for the top three students in each class, covering a year of their education.
Keynote speaker, Dr. Fabong Jemchang Yildam, Director of Health Financing at USAID-IHP Nigeria, emphasized education’s transformative power in nation-building.
He praised Nimshak’s initiative as a significant step towards cultivating future leaders.
The Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) Chairman and Secretary for Langtang North praised Nimshak’s efforts and urged continued support for education. Students expressed gratitude for the program, citing improved academic performance and filled educational gaps.
The event featured student presentations, prize distribution, and educational material giveaways, reinforcing Nimshak’s commitment to education.
He pledged to prioritize education, healthcare, and infrastructure, in his constituency development allowances.
