Oluremi Tinubu Holds Town Hall Meeting in Sokoto, Pledges to Empower Women

Wife of the APC Presidential Candidate Senàtor Oluremi Bola Ahmad Tinubu has pledged to empower more women through employment and skills acquisition programs if her husband is elected president in the forthcoming general elections.

Senàtor Remi made the remarks while addressing a mammoth crowd of APC Women at a town hall meeting held today in Sokoto.

She said a lot has been achieved in Lagos when her husband was, two-term Governor O Lagos state, in the areas of empowerment, skills acquisition, and human capital development.

“I and my husband Asiwaju Bola Ahmad Tinubu will reflect the same to women and the entire people of this country if given the mandate”

“The forthcoming national census will definitely assist us in knowing the demands of any geopolitical zone of this country base on its population and spreads of key national infrastructures.

Senàtor Tinubu however appealed to women in Sokoto not to mortgage their future by voting for Peoples Democratic Party, saying the party has nothing to offer aside from nepotism and political acrimony.

“Bola Ahmad Tinubu is the answer to socioeconomic and security challenges facing the country Nigeria and he will address that,” Remi said.

In her welcome address, the wife of Sokoto APC Gubernatorial candidate Hajiya Fatima Ahamed Aliyu said, Tinubu and Wamakko are birds of the same feather in doing great services to their people when they were Governors.

She said her husband, Ahamed Aliyu Sokoto has done so much when he was the state commissioner of Health, “My husband will continue from where our father and mentor senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko (Sarkin Yamma ) stopped.

“Senàtor Wamakko is instrumental to the construction of Pediatric hospital Wamakko, NYSC orientation camp, Ramadan feeding program, Sokoto State University, and many other projects too numerous to mention.”

“Sokoto women’s votes will all go to APC in the forthcoming general elections, we will work round the clock to ensure the victory of the party at levels of elections.

“Anyone who visits Lagos during the tenure of Bola Ahmad Tinubu as Governor will witness and testify to the rapid transformation recorded equal to that of Senator Magatakarda Wamakko 8 years in Sokoto.”

Fatima appealed to women in the state not to mortgage their permanent voters’ Cards for monetary or other essential things that will mortgage their future and if their children were yet unborn.

Speaking on behalf of Sokoto Market and businesswomen, Hajiya Maryam Damas assured that, they would massively cast their votes for APC candidates.

Nana Sharina wife of the APC Vice Presidential Candidate appealed to women in Sokoto to Vote for Bola Ahamed Tinubu, Kasheem Sharina, and all other APC candidates in the forthcoming national and state elections.

“It’s only God that gives power, but I am optimistic APC and all its candidates standing election will become successful,” she declared.
