Kwara United head coach Tunde Sanni has attributed the team’s defeat against Bendel Insurance to loss of concentration.
The Harmony Boys fell 3-1 to their hosts at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City on Saturday.
It was the Ilorin club’s first loss in three league matches.
Nazir Mohammed bagged a brace, with Austin Ogunye netting the other goal for the hosts.
Forward Emmanuel Ogbole scored the only goal for Kwara United.
“It was a bad day in the office. Despite our efforts and the fact that we played better in some phases, lapses in concentration cost us dearly,” Sanni told the club’s media.
“This team rarely concedes goals, let alone three. I can’t attribute it to fatigue, but the outcome is disappointing.”
Kwara United dropped to ninth position on the table following the defeat.
