News Desk

Enyimba have announced the signing of former Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye, reports Completesports.com.

Ideye previously trained with Rivers United but was not offered a contract by the Port Harcourt club.

The striker started training with Enyimba last month and will now spend the remainder of the campaign with the nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions.

The People’s Elephant unveiled the striker in Aba on Monday.

“We are delighted to officially announce the addition of former Super Eagles Striker, Brown Ideye to our fold,” the Aba giants announce on their official website on Monday.

“We are expectant of the experience and professionalism he will add to our game and quest in our remaining games this season, especially under the New Gaffer.”

The former West Bromwich Albion and Dynamo Kiev striker is making a return to the NPFL after his stint with the defunct Ocean Boys in the 2006/07 season.

The 36-year-old last played for Kuwaiti club, Al-Yarmouk.
