The Director-General (DG) of the National Productivity Centre (NPC), Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, has praised Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his strategic working visit to the Kano State Police Command Headquarters in Bompai.
The visit was undertaken to commend the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, for the professionalism and dedication displayed by officers in the arrest of suspects linked to the gruesome murder of a woman and her six children in Ciranchi, Kumbotso Local Government Area.
Dr. Dan’agundi described the Governor’s visit as a significant morale booster for the police, noting that such recognition motivates officers to further strengthen their commitment to duty.
He said the gesture reassures personnel that their sacrifices and professionalism are acknowledged at the highest level of leadership.
According to him, the leadership of CP Bakori has brought noticeable improvement to the security situation in Kano State, with positive impacts recorded across both urban and rural communities.
He observed that since the Commissioner assumed office, there has been measurable progress in maintaining peace and curbing criminal activities statewide.
Commending Governor Yusuf’s leadership style, Dr. Dan’agundi described him as humble and people-oriented, noting that he values public opinion and constructive advice.
He said the Governor’s visit to the Police Headquarters was not merely symbolic but a clear demonstration of responsible and responsive governance.
Dr. Dan’agundi further emphasized that the visit underscores the need for stronger collaboration between the Kano State Government and security agencies.
He noted that sustained cooperation remains the most effective approach to tackling criminality and ensuring lasting peace and security in the state, adding that the Governor’s pledge to continue working closely with CP Bakori is a positive step toward a safer Kano.
