The Northern All-Progressive Congress (APC) 7 States for Bola Ahmed Tinubu (S7-4 BATS) campaign organization has appointed the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Chika Mallami (SAN) as a Board of Trustees (BOT) member of the organization.
Presenting the letter to the Minister on Friday in Abuja, the National Coordinator of S7-4- BATs Alhaji Kabiru Sani Giant said that the decision to appoint the Minister of Justice is based on his commitment to promoting unity in the party and Nigerian democracy at large.
He explained further that the AGF has contributed a lot to Nigerian politics by giving professional advice and ensuring smooth and effective service delivery in the electioneering process.
“After the wider stakeholders’ consultations, we agreed that Malami should be part of the BOT members, we want him to contribute his own quota by developing a blueprint of the movement and ensure the success of the Organization,” he said.
Gaint who is the former Chairman, Buhari/Bagudu 4+4 second term campaign organization in Kebbi State described the APC presidential candidate, Ahmed Bola Tinubu as the only candidate that can bring meaningful change to the country.
“Tinubu has governed Lagos State for 8 years without federal allocation; he developed the state and improved the economy, experience wise, Tinubu can change the future of the country to greater heights.
“Bola Ahmed Tinubu belongs to all; he has a lot of supporters in and outside Nigeria.
“And now, the most active Minister, Abubakar Chika Malami (SAN) has been chosen to be a member of the Board of Trustees,” he said.
Responding, the AGF, Mallami (SAN) thanked the National Coordinator and the members of S7-4 BATS 2023 and assured them of his own support for the actualization of the movement.
“Am going to do my best and give professional advice, Ahmed Tinubu is the only candidate that merits the position and there is a need for all of us to support him,” he declared.
Those in attendance are National Secretary Barr. Aminu K Shamaki, and Deputy National Coordinator, Dr Ibrahim Gaya and others.
Similarly, the S7-BATS-2023 during a courtesy visit presents an introductory letter to the National Organizing Secretary of the APC, Alhaji Sulieman Arugungu.
Presenting the letter in his office on Friday in Abuja, the National Coordinator of S7-4-BATs Alhaji Kabiru Sani Giant said the letter was to identify him of their existence and commitment to the actualization of the movement.
“We want the National body commitment, blessings, and support in order to achieve our goals, APC is still the promising party that with the quality leadership’ he said.
In his remarks, the National Organizing Secretary of APC, His Excellency, Dr. Sulieman Arugungu told the S7-4-BATS to work hard and ensure that the success of the party in the forthcoming 2023 general election
He commended their initiative by supporting the APC and assured them of its support towards achieving the movement’s objectives.
