Ghana international André Ayew has disclosed that he has no plans to retire from football any time soon.
Ayew, who currently plays for NAC Breda in the Dutch League, told ESPN in an interview that he’s still physically fit and wants to enjoy the rest of his football career.
“I never thought about it (retirement) because my body is good, I feel good.
“I live my life day to day, so I prepare myself every time to have a better tomorrow on the field and off the field.
“I don’t think about that. When the moment comes, your body will tell you,” he added.
Ayew, whose career spans France’s Ligue 1, England’s Premier League, and Turkey’s Süper Lig, dismissed any notion of hanging up his boots.
Ayew who boasts a record 120 caps for the Black Stars, has not been called up to the national team since the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
