NDLEA to Conduct Drug Test on Candidates for LG Polls in Kano

 Kano State Government has requested the National Drugs Laws Enforcement Agency, Kano Command to conduct drugs screening test to all candidates for both Chairmanship and Councillorship of All Progressive Congress who emerged victorious at the on-going Primaries at Local Government and Wards Level.

This was contained in a letter issued by the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji, signed by the Permanent Secretary, Research, Evaluation and Political Affairs, Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Mai Mota on 27 November, 2020 and made available to the Media Organizations by the Press Secretary, Uba Abdullahi.

According to the statement, all the successful candidates would report to the agency for the test in due course.

Alhaji Usman Alhaji similarly pointed out that the present administration of Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is fully committed towards ensuring democratic sustainability and urged the people in the state to rally round the present administration for societal transformation in all spheres of human endeavour.
