NASARA Foundation of the Wife of Kebbi State Governor, Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, has distributed thousands of bags of assorted grains to women, widows, orphans, and the less privileged in the state to cushion the effect of the present economic situation in the country.
The gesture also includes financial support to beneficiaries cutting across religious and political barriers.
On Sunday, the Foundation distributed food items and cash to three hundred women and widows in the Takalau area of Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, supervised by the Coordinator of the Foundation, Abdulrasheed Bala.
Before now, communities in some local government areas were recipients of grains comprising rice, sorghum, and millet as well as financial support.
Bala said the gesture would be a continuous exercise by Zainab Nasare aimed at improving the livelihood of the populace.
He calls on the people to sustain prayers for peace, security, tranquility, and prosperity in the state and nationwide.
