The Jigawa State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has launched its gubernatorial campaign in a colorful event attended by hordes of members, admirers, supporters, and party gladiators who turned out en mass for the rally in Dutse, the state capital.
During the event, party flags were presented to the Senatorial, House of Representatives as well as State Assembly candidates.
Speaking shortly after the presentation of flags, the leader of the party in the state and former Governor, Dr. Ibrahim Saminu Turaki assured the people in the state that when elected, Dr. Mustapha Sule Lamido would work towards improving the living standard of Jigawa citizens.
Alh. Ibrahim Saminu Turaki who is also the party’s candidate for Senate for Jigawa North West Senatorial District, says women and youths stand to benefit more from the incoming administration of the youthful governor to be in view of his well-articulated policies and programs he had envisioned for the young state yawning for all-round development.
In his address, Dr. Mustapha Sule Lamido renewed his earlier promise to declare a state of emergency on unemployment as soon as he assumes office.
Lamido junior expresses his confidence that PDP will win convincingly in view of the growing youth support it enjoys among the youth as he embarks on a political mission to rescue the state from the shackles of underdevelopment. Mustafa Lamido is committed to rebuilding the party to the greater advantage of the state and for the common good of Jigawa citizens.
The Gubernatorial candidate described himself as an ENTIRE JIGAWA STATE CANDIDATE and not for a particular Emirate.
The PDP State Chairman, Alh. Ali Idris Diginsa called on the youth in the state to vote massively for PDP and all its candidates with a view to rescuing Nigeria.
The Party’s National Youth Leader, Prince Muhammed Suleman Kadade reminded the youth to brace up and protect their votes to ensure PDP wins so that their future can be protected from the era of misgovernance.
Dignitaries at the occasion included, Senator Dr. Bello Hayatu Gwarzo, Zonal Chairman, PDP North West, Hajiya Zainab Audu Bako, Zonal Women Leader, N/W as well as Sokoto State Gubernatorial Candidate, Malam Sa’id Umar and a host of others.
